A birth doula accompanies birthing people in the journey of childbirth. Support is provided during pregnancy, labor, and delivery, as well as postpartum support, to help facilitate a safe and satisfying birth experience for the birthing person and their birthing partner (if they have one).
I consider myself to be a full spectrum doula, who specializes in Sexuality Doula clients at this time. I still take on the occasional birth doula client, as this work deeply touches my heart. I am always a full-spectrum doula, and support you regardless of your pregnancy outcome.
I am independent and self-employed, and as such, am working for YOU, not your caregiver or place of birth.
I draw on my professional training, knowledge, experience, and intuition to provide physical (non-medical), emotional, and informational support to pregnant people during the transition into parenthood. It is my goal to help you feel prepared and empowered for your birth experience.
I offer a soothing touch, a calm, peaceful presence and confidence in you and your birth partner (if they have one). I can make suggestions for labor progress, and help with relaxation, massage, counter-pressure, positioning, and other techniques for your comfort.
I adore supporting women in this raw, primal journey. Feel free to reach out anytime to see if I have any availability to do so.
I have a passion for supporting and empowering expecting parents on their journey into parenthood. I aim to help facilitate the safe and satisfying birth experience you desire by providing emotional and physical support, as well as education and resources during your pregnancy, labor, and delivery.
I believe in birthing people (not all who birth identify as women). I believe in their strength and power, in their inherent wisdom and deep love. It is important to me to spend my days supporting women, and facilitating beautiful environments and experiences for them and their children. I’ve spent my life devoted to research and education to help myself and others reclaim their sovereignty.
My practice is all-inclusive, and I aim to support and guide any intending parents on their journey, regardless of sexual orientation, gender, race, and class. Born and raised in Australia, I am now a DONA trained birth doula, practicing in the Los Angeles area.
